Appolicious user GingerRun told us about the game Ginger Run by Oleg Kapitonov. It’s an engaging story of a Gingerbread derby in which you play as the Gingerbread Man, trying to run as far as he can while avoiding all the food-based obstacles in his path and outrunning his opponents. Along the way there are coins to collect, great power-ups to purchase and the ability to compete against your friends or even for your country.

Appolicious user xandra let us know about the app Splash Video from JumpCity Inc. It’s a great way to share your fun experiences with bite-sized 30-second videos, or see what your friends are up to. Also, you check out instantly what’s going on nearby, follow the top 200 YouTube channels, and quickly share favorites via Facebook. Splash Video offers unlimited uploads and offers a great way to track the adventures of other interesting people from around the world.

A Not So Fading Light (Free)

Thanks to Appolicious user vinnymo for bringing A Not So Fading Light to our attention from GotFocus Solutions. It’s an interactive space adventure book for children written by Vincent Moran about a boy and sister travelling to save the sun. The story is narrated by Caitlin Pinner and includes plenty of hidden interactive features to touch and tilt. Text bounces as it’s narrated, or you can touch individual words to help kids learn to read. With its beautiful illustrations, A Not So Fading Light is a fun time for all the family.

Boxthebag ($2.99)

Appolicious user shadowboxer brought us news of the app Boxthebag by Tech Bla Solutions. It’s a health and fitness app that introduces shadow boxing for a great workout. This iPad app can help you stay healthy as you box without tapping the screen, but still punch a virtual bag and improve your accuracy as you go. The app’s clever technology uses the iPad’s front-facing camera and you’ll need to make sure your tablet is secured safely as your new fitness regime will soon get pretty frenetic!

Artkive (Free)

Artkive, by the Kive Company, comes to us via Appolicious user kiveguy. The app offers an easy and speedy way to chronologically store, share and print your child’s artwork so you never have to feel guilty again about throwing away the drawings and pictures your kids bring home from school. In addition, children themselves will love flipping through the app to see all their creative work archived in convenient digital form.

Bit Blast Pro ($0.99)

Thanks to Appolicious user CharlesLavigne for letting us know about Bit Blast Pro. It’s a fast-paced pick-up-and-play arcade game in which players are challenged to “blast” chains of game pieces, called bits, off the screen. By creating more links, more bits can be blasted and higher rewards earned. Bit Blast Pro features a groovy soundtrack and a dynamic learning curve. It should appeal to both casual puzzle game fans and those looking for a quick gaming fix. With its native HD Retina graphics, it’s a universal app for both iPhone and iPad.

Drop Out Adventures ($0.99)

Appolicious user Prødigy told us about the game Drop Out Adventures by Digital Poke Labs. It’s a fun physics puzzler in which you must help rescue the trapped little Furrie creatures and move them to safety. Unfortunately, the Evil Furries have their own ideas and will trip you up at every turn. The game uses physics-based gameplay combining gravity, friction and collision to deliver a fantastic experience. There are five episodes and 150 unique levels to keep you fully occupied for a long time and test your timing, logic, skill and force.
