Comics is a phenomenal app for comic book fans. This comic book reader has a growing library available of titles to download, with many available for free or 99 cents.

You must buy the app for 99 cents before you can download comics. But once you do that, titles are available from more than 15 publishers but not the big two, Marvel and DC.

Downloads in this app are extremely organized, so users can search by title, creator, publisher and genre.

Comics comes with an instructional comic, showing users where to touch to move between frames. Comics also provides users with options to check out the featured comics and the top 25 downloads.

The downloaded graphics for this books app are stellar. Users of the iPhone and iPod Touch can flip their devices to rotate smaller frames or set the automatic rotation option. Other options include transition speed, letterboxing, showing page on center and loading indicators.

Comics extras include the ability to find a comic shop, provide feedback, read instructions and set the disk space.

A warning to users not connected to Wi-Fi:  Downloads on the 3G network take a few minutes.  Be patient.  Also, Comics is not available for download to children under age 17 due to the intensity of many of the options.
