Drivers Ed app helps prepare for license test

Editor’s Note: This review regards Drivers Ed and not Driver’s Ed — All 50 States or Driver’s Ed Lite.

Drivers Ed is for two types of people: teenagers getting ready to get a driver’s license and folks in traffic school. After all, when else would you need to know the safe following distance between cars?

This education app uses flash cards and quizzes to keep you up to speed on the rules of the road. The goal is to prepare users for the real exam that determines whether you get your license.

You can view old quiz results to determine if you’ve progressed, but this test app does not offer a progress meter like Driver’s Ed Lite. Also, you can’t drill yourself on certain subject areas, such as hazard awareness, as you can with Driver’s Ed Lite and Drivers Test Study Guide.

Still, the randomness of the questions and flash-card topics with Drivers Ed will prepare you for the variety of questions on an actual driving test.

Also, the quizzes don’t cover state specific rules but within this app you can download your state’s driver’s manual for reference.

If you need to know the rules of the road, this free app is worth your time.
