EveryTrail Pro (iPhone) $1.99 (was $3.99)

Weird – I was just saying the other day it would be great to have a trail map app for my iPhone, and bam: EveryTrail Pro goes on sale!

This GPS-enabled trail app seems to be more about creating your own maps than providing you with existing ones, but EveryTrail does use your GPS to keep track of your route the entire way, so you can easily make your way back home. It features a number of sharing features and allows you to tag photos and videos to your trail maps as well. The app also has access to other users’ maps and tips, so you can look up information while you hike.

ACTGratuity Tip Calculator (iPhone) Free (was $0.99)

If you don’t already have a tip calculator on your iPhone, why not grab a free one?

ACTGratuity lets you break down your bill into categories so you can tip more accurately, if you feel the need to. The app tracks what you paid for your meal, liquor, and even tax, and then lets you determine exactly what amount you owe for your tip. The calculator is also adjustable, so you can pay more (or perhaps less) depending on the service you received.

Big City Adventure – San Francisco (iPhone, iPad) $3.99 (was $4.99)

Virtually wander around San Francisco in this huge game, which recreates the city so you can take part in a treasure hunt. There are 48 levels to keep you busy.

In addition to just checking out a virtual San Francisco, Big City Adventure also allows multiplayer games over the Internet, which can open up the game even more with voice chat capability. And if cooperating or competing against friends isn’t your thing, the game also provides computer opponents with adjustable difficulty settings.
