Download Discounts for Nov. 3: VVP 2011, TixME, DIY Themes

Catch a discounted app today that lets you lock up videos on your iPhone you don’t necessarily want the kids to find, as well as one that lets you order movie tickets from your phone — just in case the kids do find those videos, and you need to take their minds off them. Check out both and more in today’s Download Discounts.

VVP 2011 Video Vault Pro (iPhone) $2.99 (was $4.99)

We don’t need to know what you might have been doing with your iPhone’s video capturing capabilities, but if you’re worried about anybody else stumbling upon any… ‘questionable files’ when they ask to mess with your cool smartphone, you can rest easy once you’ve set up Video Vault Pro.

You can select certain videos with the app and password protect them with as long a string of characters as you want for added security. And Video Vault Pro also has syncing capabilities, helping to make it easier to trade video files (questionable or otherwise) quickly between your iPhone and computer.

TixME (iPhone) Free (was $0.99)

For movies you do want people to see, check out TixME, which makes it easy to watch trailers, find showtimes, and purchase tickets all from within the app.

TixME is set apart by the chance of receiving a “Gimme” as a member of its community, which is basically a coupon to knock down your ticket’s price. It also comes with GPS integration so you can see theaters near you and what they’re showing, plus integration with social networking sites.

DIY Themes (iPhone, iPad) $1.99 (was $2.99)

Your iPhone comes with the option to slap custom photos on your screen saver (or lock screen), but this app lets you use your own pictures to design a custom theme to go throughout the various screens on your phone. In addition to customizing your screen saver, you can design how your phone’s home screen will look, options for your icons’ borders, and for the dock at the bottom of your pages. It’s a cool idea that lets you customize your phone in a lot more ways than you normally could.
