Download Discounts for Mar. 14: 2070 Tilt!, Geared 2!, Robot 99

Another Monday — how about three free games to ease the pain of a new week? Check out today’s Download Discounts, which include the tilt-based shooter 2079 Tilt!, physics puzzler Geared 2!, and the fast-twitch arcade game Robot 99. Read all about them below, then take a break from work and start downloading.

2079 Tilt! (iPhone, iPad) Free (was $0.99)

Like other tilt-controlled shooting games like Tilt to Live, 2079 Tilt! combines a speedy tilt control scheme with lots of bad guys to shoot using a single virtual control stick. You’ll play the game on a grid on which enemies spawn all around you, and your survival depends on quick reflexes and accurate shooting.

2079 Tilt! lets you use your own MP3s for its soundtrack and includes OpenFeint integration for achievements and leaderboards. The game integrates a variety of control schemes, including touch and shake controls to go with the tilting. And there’s a host of power-ups to collect to boost your fighting abilities.

Geared 2! (iPhone, iPad) Free (was $0.99)

There are more than 500 puzzle levels to be found in Geared 2!, in which you’ll earn points by placing gears on a board in order to power wheels from one side of a level to the other. In addition to the 60 levels the game comes with, it also includes a level editor and 440 user-created levels.

In addition to playing other people’s levels, you can create and upload your own to Geared 2!’s servers to let other players get a crack at your puzzle skills. You can also play along to your own music as you work on puzzles of your own and those of your fellow gear heads.

Robot 99 (iPhone, iPad) Free (was $0.99)

Robots are falling to their deaths on your iPhone, dropping onto a conveyor belt and landing in a buzz saw, and only you can save them. This fast-twitch arcade game requires you to catch your robot victims to open their parachutes, then drag them to a launch zone at the top of the screen that sends them rocketing away. Just be sure not to send them flying into other robots, which can bounce them into danger.

You’ll get six levels and 99 different robot designs to save, and the more you can rescue, the higher your score will become. There are also a mess of achievements to earn and leaderboards to climb against other players, care of OpenFeint.
