Interested in a few free games to start your week? We’ve got three that’ll get your week started off right, including a version of Trenches, a 2D strategy game, with zombies instead of enemy soldiers. There’s also a turn-based role-playing game in Bowman Attack and a rhythm game that lets you use your own songs. Read up on the details and start your downloads.

Bowman Attack (iPhone) Free (was $0.99)

Turn-based role-playing action is at the heart of Bowman Attack, which pits you in a one-on-one battle with another warrior with only your wits, the weapons you purchased before the battle and whatever power-ups appear on the battlefield. Each turn gives you the chance to move around the 2D field, switch between weapons including a bow, a club and explosives, and fire attacks at your enemy by gauging the distance between him and you.

Role-playing elements let you customize and advance four unlockable characters as you play through more and more battles, and you can purchase and use up to 15 different weapons and 10 different items. Bowman Attack also features a pass-and-play multiplayer mode for up to four players.

Tap Studio Pro (iPhone) Free (was $1.99)

Tap Studio Pro lets you turn every song you own into a rhythm game track like Guitar Hero, Dance Dance Revolution or Tap Tap Revenge. You play by tapping along to the beat of the song when prompted — your timing determines your score on each track. Tap Studio includes a song bank of 150,000 tracks that can be downloaded and played, as well as user-created levels for different tracks.

You can also make tap levels for your own tracks and share them with other users, opening up your whole song library to the game. The game ties in with social networking services like Twitter so you can share your scores, and you can also issue and receive challenges between friends to see who can log the highest scores in your songs.

Stenches: A Zombie Tale of Trenches (iPhone) Free (was $0.99)

You might have heard of Trenches, a 2D strategy game in which you buy units to fight waves of World War I German troops. If you have, you’ll recognize Stenches — the same game, but with zombie soldiers in place of living German ones. It has two single-player modes, in which you either see how many waves of zombies you can get through or how much distance you can cover, as well as a cooperative multiplayer mode that support Voice Chat (which is a brand-new update).

Game Center support gives you access to a bunch of achievements as well as leaderboards, and includes more than 200 waves for you to fight through, including boss battles. Stenches also allows you to play your own music in the background of the app, as well.
