Battle orcs in a side-scrolling beat’em up with Brutal Fantasy, a free game that heads up today’s Download Discounts. Rounding out the list Chainr, an app designed to let you save various pieces of media together to make larger slideshows. And then there’s Facebook Chat with Multimedia, which is exactly like it sounds. Details below.

Brutal Fantasy – The Orcs of Undermountain (iPhone) Free (was $1.99)

A side-scrolling beat-’em up with role-playing game elements, Brutal Fantasy lets you slash up lots of Orc enemies with various weapons and items. You’ll get to use a lot of different abilities, like magic spells, to aid in your Orc beat down, as well.

Brutal Fantasy includes 20 different levels in its story campaign, plus unlimited levels to increase your score and rank on the Game Center leaderboards and earn achievements. The game also features a very cool hand-drawn, comic book-like art style.

Chainr (iPhone) Free (was $2.99)

With Chainr, you can capture various forms of multimedia and link them together to make a stream of information. Tell a story and give instructions using the app’s slideshow play format; reverse the chain if you need to, and share it online with other people using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Chainr supports all kinds of different media, including text, videos, music and photos.

Chains in Chainr can be used for a lot of different things. The app’s developers suggest keeping a journal or sending messages to others, but you can also use it to capture the steps you take as you disassemble something complicated like a computer, so that you can reverse the chain to see how to put it back together again. The app is free for a limited time, so grab it now and start messing around to see what Chainr is capable of.

Facebook Chat with Multimedia (iPhone) Free (was $0.99)

Bring Facebook’s Chat function to your phone with this app, which integrates several other multimedia functions in the chat experience. It adds the ability to throw in pictures, emoticons, video and flipped text messages. And if you have friends with the app, it’ll support voice over Internet messages, as well. You can even post multimedia messages to other users’ Facebook walls.

The app also has a lot of more standard but useful functions, like the ability to look through your chat history, customize the app’s background per friend and secure chat and privacy protection. You’ll also be able to look through your Friends List and check their status information so you know who’s online and who isn’t.
