Download Discounts for Feb. 14: Super Mega Worm, Aeon Racer, USB Disk

The hilarious and very fun Super Mega Worm, in which you play a monster underground worm that eats humans (and other things) in a 24-level rampage, is free today, which means it’s time to download it. We also have a couple of other cool, free apps in today’s Download Discounts, including another arcade game, Aeon Racer, and USB Disk, a file transfer and viewing app. Read all about them right here.

Super Mega Worm (iPhone) Free ($0.99)

If you’ve seen the Kevin Bacon movie Tremors, you get the premise of Super Mega Worm, in which you control a giant subterranean worm that most constantly eats the surface-dwellers above to sustain its growth. Pick up speed and chomp on the people and animals above you to gain more abilities and power-ups as you fight-off police and the military, all bent on your destruction in this arcade-style title.

Super Mega Worm is free for a limited time, so snag it while you can. It includes Game Center support, which gives you access to achievements and let you see how your score measures up on Apple’s online leaderboards. Super Mega Worm has 24 levels with two game modes to play through.

Aeon Racer (iPhone) Free (was $0.99)

A top-down, tilt-based racing game in which your speed and precision determine your score, Aeon Racer has a cool neon art style, simple gameplay and responsive controls. The way the game plays is easy: you need to guide your racer through open gates on the screen, and the more you clear, the faster you go. Speed determines your score.

Aeon Racer is pretty simple, with only about 15 levels, but it can be fun and challenging to build your speed, especially for a game that’s free. Keep playing and you’ll unlock endless modes for each level, which allows you to see just how far you can make it. Crash into too many gates, however, and your ship will explode and you’ll have to start all over.

USB Disk (iPhone, iPad) Free (with free in-app purchases)

A file viewer and organizer, USB Disk almost turns your phone into a straight USB Flash drive. It lets you move files into specialized folders within the app and view and access them from anywhere, and supports a variety of extensions.

USB Disk features several features you can purchase from within the app, but for a limited time, you can get all the features for free. These include some very cool things, like Zip file, iDisk and Dropbox support. And if you need even more functionality, there’s USB Disk Pro, which you can purchase for $0.99.
