Conduct yourself like a conductor with Bravo Gustavo

The Bravo Gustavo app is not for the bus or the subway and sleeping babies beware. You’re not likely going to spend hours of your life playing it, but the Bravo Gustavo app is simple and silly fun (though pretty self-contained).

Brought to you by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Bravo Gustavo app lets you play conductor – specifically, Gustavo Dudamel, the L.A. Philharmonic’s new music director – with your iPhone. Choose from “March to the Scaffold” or “Dream of a Witches Sabbath,” and set the tempo by tapping or waving your iPhone

It might be a good time at a party – whether your friends dig the philharmonic or not — but it’s not likely to entertain the entire time. When you get tired of playing, hit the question mark to go to the Main Menu, to iTunes or to visit Gustavo’s site.

It’s basic (it promises no more, no less), but you’re likely to get a kick out of it.
