Children’s Book Week

Nov 5, 2010

The second week of November is National Children’s book week and boy, are there a lot of apps for that. In fact you could probably fill your entire phone with Children’s books so here are a few to get you started.

Shel Silverstein’s Animations

OK, this isn’t strictly a book but Shel Silverstein is amazing and thus it must be included. If there’s any one author outside of Dr Seuss that will get kids into reading it’s Shel so definitely have this app on your phone.

The FOOT Book – Dr. Seuss

And this of course is one you need. Children’s books sure, but EVERYONE loves Dr Seuss. Silly, intelligent, fun, perfect. You don’t have to have a kid for this one, and hey, you’ll learn about feet and how to walk which is always useful.

iStoryTime Classics Kids Book – Alice in Wonderland

iStoryTime has a number of books well beyond just this one. All are just about $1 so you can easily have some of the classics on your phone without going broke.
