This week in iPhone gaming saw just about everything: highly-anticipated sequels, legendary remakes — and even the worst game of all time. So without any further ado, let’s dive right into this week’s Top Five game releases.
1. Brothers in Arms 2: Global Front
Few sequels come as hyped as Crap of Defense ($1.99) from iFun4all is the worst game ever, and if you don’t believe me, just ask the developer. This tower defense game goes out of its way to be bad, and what results is a very humorous iPhone game that is actually no worse than any number of games you’ll find on the iPhone. Your weapon of choice is a manually-controlled tank and your objective is to stop enemy troops from passing your defense line. The game’s entire look is so purposefully, comically bad that it’s actually kind of charming, and while the game play is nothing to write home about, it works well enough. If we can learn anything from Crap of Defense, it’s that if you’re going to fail, you should do so spectacularly.
