Best Reference Apps in 2010 for iPad

Dec 30, 2010

My picks of the best reference apps that I reviewed for iPad on Appolicious during 2010

WolframAlpha is great on iPad, and for the price you can’t beat it. Great Wolfram session at BarCamp Boston a while back too!

3D4Medical Images & Animations

3D4Medical’s Images app is stunning in it’s artistic and visual appeal. Some images will make you squirm yet be fascinated by the detail that is shown. Not all images suitable for the kiddies though!

Nature Human Genome Special Edition

Yes there are games, and drawing apps, and PDF viewers and productivity app, but it’s apps like Nature’s Human Genome Special Edition that really shows of the iPad and how creative content can get. Electronic inc, video, graphics, photos, truly interactive, this app is a gem that digs deep into the Genome Project.

Great interactive version of the periodic table, make it interesting for the science wiz in your family.

Edmunds – New & Used Cars Search

Edmunds is the car industry’s textbook for buying a car and finding car values. Another one of the FEW iPhone apps on my iPad
