Apps I’m playing with

Feb 20, 2012

People constantly ask me to check out their apps and that means I get to see a very wide range of apps, some good, some not so good. These are the apps I’ve been looking at lately,

I wasn’t sure what to think of this app at first. While using it isn’t difficult the help video is too small to really see on my little iPhone screen. That said, after doing my best to follow along I found the app very easy to use.
While I’ve been using dropbox to hold videos on my phone this app works just as well. Simply drag a video into the file sharing portion of itunes and voila, there it is in the app. Best yet it saves the video so it will work in airplane mode… essential for an app like this but something developers sometimes forget. If you want to store any sort of video on your phone without having to convert it, this is the app for you.

I guess this app just isn’t meant for me. The point of it is that you can draw on a webpage. While I suppose that might be amusing for some for the full price I just can’t see it being that useful.

FanFiction – 200,000+ books, ebooks and stories for fiction readers

Once I got past the main menu in this app I couldn’t figure out how to get back. While normally I’d chalk that up to me just being silly I’ve been looking intently at apps for well over two years now and nothing should be hard about finding a main menu.

From there a lot of the books and what not didn’t seem to actually load. I was able to load a few tv programs but that was about it.

If you’re a huge fan of fanfiction this app may be worth messing with but for the rest of us skip it.
