MouthOff is a simple mouth simulation app for Android. The idea behind the app is to provide a silly way to express yourself. It offers plenty of different cartoon mouths that will react to sound and attempt to make it look like it’s saying what you are. Singing, laughing, yelling and crying into the mic will spur the mouth into motion.

Each mouth has a slightly different feel to it and could provide hours of entertainment depending on how easily entertained you are. They are well-animated and the art is very clean and bright. There are no other features on this app and the whole purpose is to add a cartoon mouth to your crazy rantings. That being said, I found it hard to review as it is very very simple.

This app is obviously user content driven and the only way it has any appeal is to children or to use YouTube to spread your important message to the world. It happens to be priced low in the app store but I’m still not convinced that the app justifies the price.

For a free app, this app would be a fun gag for a bit. But considering you will have to pay for this app, I would like to warn those who need more substance that it won’t last long on your device. Fun for what it does, I’d recommend checking it out with the knowledge that it will not be staying on your device for more than 1 hour. It just does not do enough to stand out.
