The ABC News iPhone app is comprehensive and easy to use, something that fans of ABC programming will thoroughly enjoy.

The free app provides access to an array of national and world news – in video, photo and text formats – with easy navigation between previous and subsequent stories. If you are looking for stories from ABC anchor Charles Gibson while you’re on the go, this is the app for you. The video segments rotate nicely with a flip of the iPod touch or iPhone. One suggestion: Users of the app should be connected to Wi-Fi to watch videos, as they will download faster.

Additionally, the app enables users in select markets to get the hometown scoop from their local ABC affiliates. Users can enter their location and view local news and weather forecasts. Currently, the number of cities available for local news and breaking alerts is limited to larger markets.

The ABC News app also links to the network’s major news programs, including Good Morning America and This Week with George Stephanopoulos.

ABC News is a quality app with easy navigation and a solid amount of information. Every news lover should have this app on their iPhone and iPod touch. It’s worth every gigabyte.
