Yahoo! update (Free)

What’s it about? Yahoo! makes searching the web and finding what you want to read and know more about easier, and now curates what news it presents based on your interests.

What’s cool? Yahoo! acquired news-browsing app company Summly less than a month ago, and the news summary service has been integrated into their mobile app. The app presents news stories and web search results in a clean, easy-to-read format, and provides a stream of stories from a number of sources. The newest update to Yahoo! adds a  whole mess of new features, possibly the best of which his the ability to tell the app about what news you want to see more or less of, which Yahoo! takes into account to curate the list of news stories that it presents to you. It also includes more web search options, like the ability to filter for just images or videos.

What’s cool? Your job in The Legend of Holy Archer is to take down monsters, but to do that, you’ll need to hit them from long distances with powerful arrows. None of the levels are quite so straight-forward as firing your arrow and letting it hit its mark, though – instead, you fire your arrow from a standing position and a third-person perspective, and then take control of it while it’s in the air. You can move your arrow quite a bit before it reaches its target, allowing you to bank around obstacles and aim for weak spots, but if you use too much control or fly too far, the arrow will lose power and drop. Each level also includes power-ups you can nab along the way by guiding your arrow through them as it flies.

Who’s it for? If you’re a fan of titles that emphasize flying and careful control, try The Legened of Holy Archer.
