Need help finding something to do tonight, this weekend, or just about any time? Try today’s leading fresh app, Weotta – an app that’s designed to inundate you with ideas about things to do that will appeal to you. We’ve also got My Dog Talks!, a novelty app that lets you add voice and a mouth to your pet photos, and Apoc Wars, a real-time strategy game that’s free-to-play and lets you take on (and ally with) other players over the Internet.

Weotta update (Free)

What’s it about? Weotta is a social networking app that suggests things to do around you, helping you to find events to attend and restaurants to enjoy, for a start.

What’s cool? You get the best of social networking and recommendations about what’s around you with Weotta. The game uses your iOS device’s GPS capabilities to figure out what’s around you, and then recommends all sorts of activities based on a number of different categories. You can narrow the search by telling the app who you are and what it is you’re looking for, and you can see the things your friends are also checking out. The app’s latest update brings you info on things your friends like, notifications about events that are coming up, and a search bar that lets you look up all kinds of information quickly.

Who’s it for? If you’re at a loss for what to do, where to eat, and what’s cool around you, try Weotta.

My Dog Talks! ($0.99)

What’s it about? Video app My Dog Talks! lets you snap photos of your pets and rework them to make it appears as though the animals are talking.

What’s cool? Creating goofy pet videos is basically the activity on which the Internet was founded, and My Dog Talks! gives you the power to create such videos quickly and easily. You’ll need to shoot a photo of your pet, but once you do, you can use the app to add a moving mouth and record dialog that you can make your pets speak. The process is easy, and once you’re done, you can save your photo and videos for later and share them through social networks.

Who’s it for? Dog owners and goofy video makers, this one’s for you.

What’s it like? Talking Ben the Dog is another fun novelty app that lets you give voice to animals.

Apoc Wars (Free)

What’s it about? Take on other players over the Internet in Apoc Wars, a real-time strategy game with a post-apocalyptic setting.

What’s cool? Apoc Wars is a real-time strategy title, which means that it’s a game in which players take on the role of a battlefield commander, issuing orders to various units and moving them around the battlefield to win victories. Like other games in the genre, it requires players to build and manage bases, defend them from attackers, and train units that can be sent into battle. The cool thing about Apoc Wars is that it’s a social multiplayer title, which means you can build allegiances with friends and use them to take down enemies.
